Nicolas Pröllochs

Tenure-Track Professor of Data Science, University of Giessen, Germany

Nicolas Pröllochs is a tenure-track Professor of Data Science at the Department of Business Administration of the University of Giessen in Germany. He is also an Associate Member of the Oxford-Man Institute (OMI) where he held a postdoctoral position in machine learning prior to taking up his current post. His research focuses on data science methods and computational techniques for understanding and predicting human decision-making in the digital age. Current research applies machine learning and natural language processing to a broad selection of topics, including financial markets, social networks, and recommender systems. Nicolas is also a passionate programmer and interested in developing novel data science methods with high business value. He has developed multiple software tools for quantitative text analysis, machine learning and data science.
