Regulatory change in Europe: how derivatives markets will be affected

This presentation will provide an overview of the regulatory change that affects derivatives activities in Europe, particularly focussing on UK banks. Topics to be covered will include the scope of regulatory change, the entities affected, the interplay of international regulatory frameworks and the anticipated resulting changes to banking businesses.

Helen joined the investment bank of Barclays in 2004 and is Head of Legal for Global Markets across EMEA. Her core technical expertise is in derivatives law and, prior to joining Barclays, she has worked for Allen & Overy, Credit Suisse, and Merrill Lynch. She is involved in various ISDA working groups and represents Barclays on the Bank of England Legal Joint Standing Committee for FX.
